INTEGRITY

Integrity, or the lack thereof, has to be the one pet peeve that my entire world revolves around. You know. The ability to follow through on something you say you will do. The ability to say something and stand behind your words. This world is sorely lacking in this very essential element of human existence.I don't understand it. I just cannot compute how someone can say something and do the total opposite. How someone can tell you, "I will do this or be there," and then turn around and treat the whole event so haphazardly. It is much better to not promise anything if you do not plan on following through. Do not tell me you will be over or call me if you don't plan to follow through. Do you know how badly that gets under my skin??It's not a difficult thing to say what you mean and mean what you say. Little kids can do it. How can you even hope to be trusted if you can't? No one is going to count on you if you don't hold your integrity high. It's important. Between humans, there is nothing more important than trust.The lack of integrity is so unfortunate. So, if you tell someone that you're going to do something, step up. Don't blow it and convey to them that they aren't important enough to think about, consider or remember. Your honor is on the line and you should be taking that very seriously. The one thing the government can't take away or tax is your ability to be honest and do what you say. Is someone counting on you today?
